Magherafelt Chamber of Commerce Recent Achievements …
- The Chamber attracted £120,000 grant aid for Queens Street scheme. Work completed December 2012.
- Set up Magherafelt Forum, in September 201 0, to engage with the council and community representatives to develop economic growth and promote community enhancement initiatives.
- Successfully lobbied, throughout 2011, to ensure parking charges were not introduced in Magherafelt Town Centre.
- Helped host a visit, in 2011, by the Catelonain Castellers, Human Tower. This event not only created excitement through the spectacle of the Human Tower but welcomed 134 Spanish visitors to our Town.
- Collaborated with Magherafelt District Council throughout 201 0 to secure funding for the development of a Magherafelt Masterplan.
- Developed a TV Christmas Advertising Campaign,
- December 2010, to effectively promote the Town Centre.
